Forum U-NOVUS was held in Tomsk from 2nd to 4th of April, 2014. U-NOVUS is a new communication, discussion and creative platform for young scientists, inventors, and entrepreneurs in the field of R&D. Within a framework of the Forum, a competition of young scientists, where the achievements and developments in R&D field of scientists, educators, students, professionals under the age of 35 years, as well as creative teams were presented. Project of "Microsplav" «Surface alloys - a new type of coating» presented by our young colleagues Vsevolod Petrov and Evgenii Yakovlev was awarded by a special prize of Tomsk Professorial Assembly as a «Best professional research project of Tomsk in «U-NOVUS-2014» Exhibition ».

Director of "Microsplav" Alexey Markov returned from Samara, where two business meeting have been held with enterprises of Samara region. During the business mission participants from Tomsk enterprises visited industrial enterprises of Samara region, as well as scientific and technological park "Aviatehnokon", held individual talks with potential partners. Tomsk participants were representatives of 15 small and medium companies, including residents of the special economic zone.

The company "Microsplav" became a participant of the "professional internship", organized by public organization AIESEC. Annually owing to AIESEC over 5,000 students and young professionals around the world have the opportunity to undergo training in another country, improving skills and gaining work experience in an international team. In our company graduate of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (Ahmedabad, India) Jageer Patel was invited for three weeks. Jageer acquainted with company equipment, actively participated in the development of a new leaflet, introduced us with features of doing business in India. After returning home, in his article for the organization AIESEC in Ahmedabad, Jagir wrote: «…no one would have ever imagined that I, Jageer Patel a 21 year old just graduate, will be working in a company in one of the most coldest places of the planet, Siberia and that too in such interesting field, electronics»
